Cruise Mekong from Huayxai to LuangPrabang

Day 1: THAI – LAOS BORDER – HUAYXAI – PAKBENG (L, D)
Border crossing from ChiangKhong to Huayxai, we transfer to the boat pier for a long journey down the Mekong river. The views from the slow boat are incredible. The whole time you can gaze out at the lush hills and jungle surrounding the river.
There are caves, villages and cool rock formations all the way down the river. This cruise takes 6 to 7 hours, with picnic lunch on board and visit tribal village. Late afternoon arrive in Pakbeng. Overnight at the Grand Pakbeng Resort.

Day 2: PAKBENG – LUANG PRABANG  (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we cruise on mekong again to LuangPrabang. It takes 6 to 7 hours with a stop to visit Pak Ou Cave (BUDDHA CAVE).  Picnic lunch on board. Welcome to LuangPrabang, we transfer from the boat pier to Muang Thong hotel or similar hotel. 

Day 3: LUANG PRABANG HERITAGE DISCOVER (B, L, D)

8:30 Am We start exploring the heritage town:  Wat Mai, Wat Xieng Thong. After lunch, we visit the National museum (formal Royal palace). Then we visit Wat Visoun and Thad Makmo stupa. Late afternoon, we climb 329 steps up Phousi mountain for beautiful sunset view of the town. Dinner in town and free time at the night market. 

Day 4: LUANG PRABANG – KUANG SI WATERFALLS (B, L, D)

5:30 am. We get up early for watching alms giving ceremony, following by a quick glance at morning market.
Today, we go hiking and visit to Kuangsi waterfalls. It’s a walking day through forest, Khmu village and on to Kuangsi falls. Time to swim and relax at the natural pool. Dinner at local restaurant. 

Day 5: LAO FOOD COOKING CLASS (B, L, D)

Our guide will take you to a local market to buy meat and vegetables. You will learn how to cook Laos food, have nice experience and have lunch with your cooked meal. Back to your hotel and free time. 

Day 6: DEPARTURE (B)

Breakfast at your hotel and free at leisure. Transfer to airport or train station for departure. Have a good trip !
